Steed Standard Transport is currently seeking one (1) individual to join our team of Professional Company Drivers. Family owned since 1913!
In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering goods across Southwestern Ontario including the GTA, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle with 53' trailer to complete local deliveries within designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking for safety issues and ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Verify delivery orders, obtain signatures, and document delivery details accurately in logs or digital systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, addressing their questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Follow planned routes using GPS or route sheets to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Adhere to all transportation regulations and company policies to ensure safety and compliance on every trip.
Skills & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (AZ) is required.
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle inspections and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
