Executive/Personal Assistant to the Owner
Standard Auto Wreckers is a leader in the automotive recycling industry, serving customers across Ontario for more than 45 years and we are committed to providing quality recycled auto parts while promoting environmentally responsible recycling practices.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive and professional Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the Owner. This is a trusted role requiring exceptional discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
The successful candidate will act as the Owner's right hand, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while anticipating needs, coordinating priorities, and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Owner's calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Screen and prioritize phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Prepare professional letters, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, and take meeting minutes when required.
- Assist with special projects and follow up on action items to ensure completion.
- Liaise with employees, customers, vendors, and business partners on behalf of the Owner.
- Organize and maintain confidential files and records.
- Coordinate company events, meetings, and executive functions.
- Assist with research, data collection, and reporting.
- Monitor deadlines and proactively remind the Owner of upcoming commitments.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Provide administrative support across various departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Owner and leadership team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of Executive Assistant or Senior Administrative experience, supporting senior leadership or business owners.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities.
- Professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience coordinating projects and managing deadlines.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive, transportation, manufacturing, or industrial sector is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting software is considered an asset.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
