EXPERIENCED DZ TRUCK DRIVER / LABORER
Advanced Wastewater & Excavating Solutions is currently seeking a DZ Drive with Hook loader / Roll Off experience. We are a well-established company looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to join us for a long-term career. Highly motivated with a great work ethic and positive attitude, to support the business needs in construction and excavation tasks. Experience in skid steer or mini ex an asset. Reliability and punctuality are a must for success in this position.
Duties to include but not limited to:
· Qualified DZ licenced truck driver with a clean driver’s abstract
· Support the business ness as a dump (and hook) truck driver
· Experience with operating Hook Lift or Roll Off equipment is preferred
· Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks
· Conduct pre-operational and post-trip checks on equipment; clean, lubricate and refuel equipment as necessary
· backfilling, trenching, grading, shovelling, raking and miscellaneous construction / excavation labor tasks
· Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
· Attention to detail and able to complete tasks in a timely manner
· Concrete forming and finishing would be an asset
· Able to meet deadlines and understands sense of urgency in certain situations
· Loading and unloading equipment onto trailer
· Coordinate transfer and dumping of excavation materials
· Ability to work both alone and within a team environment
· Able to life 50lbs as this role may include lifting, bending, shovelling, raking, loading and unloading of materials
· CPR/First Aid would be an asset
· Excellent communication skills, ability to listen and follow direction effectively
· Strength, agility, and willingness to work in varying weather conditions
· Willing to travel on a daily basis
· Certifications such as: Fall Arrest, First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Man-Lift, WHIMS would all be an asset
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours of Work: Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
Rate of Pay: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, actual starting salary will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and work experience.
