Our client, a leading manufacturing firm is currently looking to hire Shipper & Receiver (Electronics) on a long-term basis to join their growing team!
This role supports production through accurate material handling, with occasional backup coverage for receiving. It requires strong attention to detail, reliable execution, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue production kits accurately according to pick-lists or client orders in a timely manner.
- Pick, move, stage, and replenish materials as required.
- Be comfortable working safely at heights to pick and put away parts stored in higher locations.
- Perform basic quality inspection activities such as material verification and labeling.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through counts, bin checks, and timely transactions.
- Provide backup support for receiving, including verification, labeling, and system receipts.
- Keep material areas organized and compliant with safety and quality standards.
- Perform additional tasks in support of production or inventory needs as required based on workload.
Qualifications:
- Experience in kitting, material handling, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to read BOMs, pick lists, and work orders.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems, such as Epicor and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and dependable follow-through.
- Ability to lift and move materials, including heavy items (up to 30lbs).
- Ability to work safely at height when required; willingness to take Safety at Heights training.
- Previous experience with performing basic quality inspections
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous Inventory and Logistics experience.
