Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and program CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD and SolidWorks, and experience with various machining tools. The CNC Machinist will ensure high-quality production by adhering to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards while maintaining efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines to produce parts according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages and Fanuc controls to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining requirements.
- Set up machines by installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces; calibrate equipment for precise operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and hand tools.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as packaging finished products and operating forklifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and welding tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment. Ability to set up and run a lathe machine is an asset.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, Fanuc controls, blueprint reading, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Ability to programme is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to use hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in machining or manufacturing are advantageous. Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
