Inventory & Retail Associate

Schedule: Ideally Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Additional Availability: Potential weekend shifts during busy summer periods
Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour
True North Disc Golf is seeking a highly detail-oriented, reliable, and organized Inventory & Retail Associate to support a major in-store and online inventory project.
We are currently working on photographing each individual disc in our store so it can be listed online with an accurate product image. As part of this project, each disc will also need to be re-stickered and properly organized in-store.
This is a detail-heavy role. Disc golfers are serious about their discs, the colour, stamp, plastic, weight, condition, and presentation matter. Accuracy is extremely important because customers want to see the exact disc they are purchasing online.
The goal is to complete this project by September 1. Once the project is completed, the role will transition into a regular Monday to Thursday retail and inventory position, supporting the store, putting out discs, ordering discs, assisting customers, and helping with daily operations.
Current Project Responsibilities
- Photograph individual disc golf discs using a Nikon camera and photobox setup
- Ensure each disc has an accurate product image for online sale
- Re-sticker discs in-store with updated labels and barcodes
- Apply, scan, and manage barcodes for photographed inventory
- Organize discs carefully so products are easy to locate in-store and online
- Upload and organize product images for inventory records and online listings
- Perform computer-based inventory tasks related to product listings
- Review product details carefully, including weight, colour, plastic, stamp, and other identifying details
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the project
Ongoing Responsibilities After Project Completion
After the inventory photography and re-stickering project is completed, this position will transition into a regular store support role. Responsibilities will include:
- Working in-store Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Assisting customers with disc golf products and purchases
- Processing sales at the till
- Putting out new discs and maintaining store displays
- Helping order, organize, and replenish discs
- Picking, packing, and shipping online orders accurately
- Maintaining inventory accuracy
- Keeping the retail and workspace areas clean, organized, and professional
- Supporting other daily store operations as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a detail-oriented role is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization is required
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory systems
- Ability to stay focused while completing repetitive, high-accuracy tasks
- Comfortable working independently and following a process
- Willingness to learn camera equipment and product photography processes
- Customer-service focused with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities efficiently
- Retail, warehouse, inventory, photography, or e-commerce experience is an asset
- Interest in disc golf is a bonus, but not required

Schedule & Availability
This position is scheduled ideally Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Weekend availability may be required during busy summer periods, depending on business needs.
