About the Role
VICI Learning is looking for a thoughtful and energetic Day Camp Coordinator to lead our Learn & Play Day Camp programs in partnership with the Cove Indoor Play. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about child development, inclusive education, and learning through play.
Our camps are designed to foster curiosity, confidence, and social-emotional growth in children ages 5–10. The Day Camp Coordinator plays a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where all children grow and learn together.
You will be responsible for coordinating daily camp activities, guiding staff and volunteers, and ensuring campers have a meaningful and enjoyable experience throughout the program.

What You’ll Do
- Facilitate daily Learn & Play activities including crafts, games, creative projects, and group discussions
- Implement classroom and time management best practices to deliver the daily learning outcomes in an enjoyable experience for campers
Create an Inclusive Environment
- Support children with diverse learning styles, including neurodivergent learners and children on the autism spectrum
- Adapt activities and communication approaches to support individual needs
- Lead behavioural management and deescalation
- Foster a respectful, patient, and emotionally supportive environment
Coordinate Camp Operations & Safety Procedures
- Prepare activity materials and organize daily schedules
- Supervise campers during indoor activities, outdoor play, and field trips
- Establish and enforce safety rules for both indoor and outdoor activities, including street safety
- Support smooth daily transitions, drop-off, and pick-up
Support Camp Staff & Volunteers
- Provide guidance and direction to camp assistants or volunteers
- Help maintain a positive, collaborative team environment
- Communicate clearly with the camp team and program leadership
- Bring weekly themes to life through hands-on, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and collaboration among campers
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Experience working with children ages 5–10 in camp, education, childcare, or recreation settings
- Experience supporting neurodiverse children and/or children on the autism spectrum is strongly preferred
- Experience facilitating group activities or leading youth programs
- Positive, patient, and supportive approach to working with children
- Current First Aid/CPR certification

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Calm and supportive approach to behavior guidance
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in dynamic environments

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
