About Our Client
Our client is a well-established organization in the creative industry seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to provide front desk coverage for a temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional administrative support.
Location: Vancouver, BC
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Assignment Duration: July 27, 2026 – August 11, 2026
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Welcome employees, clients, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Open and/or close the office, ensuring security procedures are followed.
- Assist with onboarding by preparing documentation and providing orientation to new hires and returning employees.
- Coordinate office supplies, deliveries, and general workplace logistics.
- Prepare meeting spaces and support client visits to ensure a positive experience.
- Arrange travel and accommodation bookings when required.
- Support day-to-day office operations, including catering coordination, restocking supplies, and maintaining common areas.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and document preparation.
- Provide administrative support to the facilities and operations teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative support role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor with strong customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and general office equipment.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full duration of the temporary assignment.
- Experience in a corporate, creative, or studio environment is considered an asset
