The Calgary Tuberculosis Clinic is seeking a highly organized, flexible, and detail-oriented Clerk III to provide relief coverage within our collaborative clinic team. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, this position provides coverage during staff absences, periods of increased workload, and other operational needs. Duties may include appointment scheduling, immigration referral processing, patient registration, front desk support, and other administrative functions. The successful candidate must be adaptable and able to move between assignments based on daily clinic priorities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and competing demands. Flexibility to work variable hours and accept shifts based on operational needs is required. Key responsibilities may include: Scheduling and coordinating nursing and physician appointments. Providing front desk coverage and registering patients. Verifying and updating demographic and care information. Processing referrals, notifications, and clinical documentation. Creating and maintaining accurate electronic patient records. Monitoring waitlists and scheduling according to clinical priority and wait-time targets. Supporting immigration referral and follow-up workflows Collaborating with nurses, physicians, and administrative staff to support safe and efficient clinic operations Documenting patient interactions and completing electronic workflow tasks The successful candidate must be comfortable learning and using multiple systems, including Connect Care, iPHIS, Netcare, PEI, Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Teams, and Zoom.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Unit Clerk or administrative clerk in an ambulatory healthcare setting is required. This experience must include administrative support, patient scheduling, appointment booking, registration, or related clinical booking duties. The successful candidate must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a busy healthcare environment with frequent interruptions, competing priorities, and changing operational needs. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated organization, attention to detail, initiative, reliability, and sound judgment. Experience supporting newcomers, refugees, clients with limited English proficiency, and individuals requiring interpretation services is considered an asset. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and be comfortable learning and using multiple electronic health information and scheduling systems. The successful candidate must maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy, security, and organizational requirements. The position also requires completion of N95 fit testing, the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, and the ability to stand frequently throughout the workday. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ambulatory clinic workflows, referral coordination, waitlist management, and patient registration. Knowledge of medical terminology, interpretation-service coordination, document scanning and indexing, and privacy practices is an asset. Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and adapting to changing clinic assignments is preferred.
