Associate Lawyer
Job Description/Qualifications
Alam Law Firm is seeking Applications for Associate Lawyers with 3+ years experience in Personal Injury to join its team for Accident Benefits and Tort Department. The successful candidate will run a caseload of Personal Injury (Accident Benefits and Tort file) and supervise Paralegals and AB support teams.
(a) All aspects of client engagement, meetings, day to day correspondence
(b) Determine validity and scope of client claims
(c) Manage Accident Benefits and Tort progression, deadlines, correspondence, limitation periods
(d) Work with supervising lawyer regarding file strategy, theory and appropriate litigation plans
(e) Identify files ready for settlement discussion and/or appropriate to prepare for settlement conferences (and settle files as required/directed)
(f) Perform legal research as required
(j) Conducting EUOs, Discovery, Mediation and Pre-Trial
(k) Attend, conduct and prepare for LAT hearings, case conferences, motions, pre-trial hearings and mediations
(l) Supervise team of paralegals and legal assistants
Experience and Requirement:
- Lawyer with minimum 3 years experience in personal injury law
- LAT hearing experience
- Strong writing skills

$120,000–$130,000 a year
