Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, including Micros POS when applicable.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for payments.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Assist with training new staff members in food handling practices and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
