Responsibilities
Boon Energy Services is seeking a talented, energetic mechanic to join our team of positive outside-the-box thinkers. This dynamic role will involve repairing/maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles/equipment
- Maintenance and repairs may include: engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel/exhaust systems, clutches, differentials, brakes, tires, hydraulic systems, air compressors, electrical systems and lubrication systems
- Understand and identify environmental, health and safety hazards in the workplace
- Participate in safety meetings and associated safety programs
- Provide mentorship and leadership
- Keep a clean work site
Qualifications
- Great attitude with a willingness to engage and commit to safety and continuous improvement
- 5+ years experience is an asset
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and tools is an asset
- Completion of Boon Energy’s pre-employment process, including drivers abstract, drug and alcohol test and physical demands analysis is required
- Valid Journeyman Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician Qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or part of a team
- Previous leadership experience and training is an asset
