Role Overview
The PeopleSoft Solution Architect / Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting PeopleSoft architecture and application environments. This includes PeopleTools upgrades, PUM maintenance, integrations, Oracle database administration, environment configuration, OS level support, vulnerability remediation, and participation in project lifecycle activities. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands on administration capabilities, and effective communication with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. PeopleSoft Architecture & Solution Design Design and deliver solutions for PeopleSoft application architecture.
Provide guidance on PeopleSoft environment strategy, scalability, performance, and lifecycle management.
2. PeopleTools & PUM Upgrade Expertise
Strong hands on experience with PeopleTools 8.5x.
Perform PeopleTools upgrades, PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) updates, and maintenance activities.
Execute updates using Update Manager, Change Assistant, and apply tools/application patches.
3. PeopleSoft Application Environment Management Set up, configure, and maintain all PeopleSoft application environments.
Administer and support accompanying Oracle databases aligned with industry best practices.
Manage configuration for multiple environments (DEV, QA, PROD, etc.).
4. Integration & Migration Activities
Strong expertise in inbound and outbound integrations for PeopleSoft.
Execute migration activities using Application Designer, Data Mover, and migration tools.

5. Oracle Database & OS Administration
Perform high level Oracle database administration to support PeopleSoft workloads.
Configure and optimize Windows / Linux / AIX operating systems for PeopleSoft environments.
Support OS related processes such as SFTP configurations, OS/DB patching tasks, and application-specific server activities.
6. Security & Vulnerability Management
Address application-related vulnerability findings and ensure compliance with security standards.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to maintain hardened environments.
7. Infrastructure Support
Assist application teams with infrastructure sizing, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Ensure smooth coordination between DBAs, system administrators, and application stakeholders.
8. Project Participation & Collaboration Participate in project planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
Work collaboratively with business customers, project managers, line managers, BAs, and SMEs to define implementation strategies.
Support tasks using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
9. Communication & Workstyle

Ability to work flexible hours to support releases, patching, and critical activities.
Essential Skills:
Extensive experience designing and delivering PeopleSoft architecture solutions.
Strong expertise in PeopleTools 8.5x, PUM updates, and upgrade cycles.
Hands-on experience using Update/Change Assistant for maintenance and tools/application upgrades.
Deep knowledge of PeopleSoft environments, Oracle databases, and system configuration.
Strong integration experience for inbound/outbound PeopleSoft processes.
