DESCRIPTION
The Order Picker / Packer gathers product to fulfill orders and processes them for shipment. Works with and troubleshoots issues with web-based fulfilment portals. Works with warehouse and production staff to ensure continuous stock is maintained. Assists with other warehouse duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gathering products and items to fulfill orders for internal or external customers
- Flowing orders though computerized warehouse management system to ensure inventory accuracy
- Ensure accuracy of picked orders
- Generate packing lists and shipping labels
- Manage and troubleshoot web-based EDI and shipping portals
- Responding to customer inquiries through online platforms
- Logging returns and reporting returns to retailers
- Uploading daily inventory updates
- Send shipping notifications daily according to retailer schedules
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Performs all tasks in compliance to GMP standards and practices.
- Demonstrates good problem solving, job task planning and organizing, continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintains records and logs
- Works independently with little supervision
- Working with shipper/receiver, production and warehouse staff to ensure inventory levels are maintained, reporting low stock items.
- Assist in assembly and production activities when required
- Required to perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment and with warehouse management systems preferred
- Strong reading skills with an emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to use computers and web-based shipping platforms
- Time management and organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills to work well within a team environment
- Communication skills to express concerns or ideas
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50lb.
- Strong proficiency with English (verbal and written)
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task, and to establish and prioritize daily work schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Strong self-initiative and work ethic.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
