Mission of the position
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for Western Canada, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing all goods receiving and shipping activities.
Main tasks
- Supervises the shipping and receiving clerk team;
- Coordinates and assigns tasks to team members;
- Prioritizes various tasks and requests;
- Proficient in Power Pick Global software and Kardex Shuttle systems;
- Oversees the placement of received goods into appropriate warehouse sections (compressors, dryers, motors, pumps, and oils);
- Supervises the setup and installation of compressors and dryers for testing, modification, or shipping purposes;
- Oversees the preparation and packaging of goods for shipment (including the construction of wooden pallets);
- Supervises the movement of parts and/or materials required for modifications or maintenance;
- Oversees the preparation and shipping of materials for trade shows;
- Performs goods receiving within the SAP system;
- Collects and labels parts under warranty;
- Requests transportation quotes and schedules carriers as needed;
- Supervises activities related to the annual physical inventory;
- Oversees long-term storage and effectively coordinates stock rotation;
- Develops and improves ISO policies and procedures regarding procurement and inventory management;
- Prepares monthly reports on minimum supply levels and other reports as requested by the Director;
- All other related tasks.
Qualifications
- College Diploma (DEC) or equivalent experience;
- 5 years of relevant experience;
- Experience in personnel supervision (or Team management experience);
- Knowledge of compressed air systems is a major asset;
- Knowledge of piping systems is an asset;
- General knowledge of information technology (IT).
