We believe in individualized care, meaningful partnerships with families, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As our clinic continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and help make a lasting difference in the lives of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments for pediatric and adult clients.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with each client's strengths, needs, and goals.
- Provide engaging therapy for a variety of communication disorders, including speech sound disorders, language delays and disorders, fluency, voice, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing concerns, as appropriate.
- Support children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental differences using evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals—including Occupational Therapists—to provide coordinated, client-centred care.
- Educate clients and families on home practice strategies, communication supports, and recommendations to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation, including assessment reports, treatment notes, progress reports, and communication with referral sources.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to support excellence in clinical care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current registration and licensure in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Applicants without CASLPO registration will not be considered.
- Experience working with pediatric clients is preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities is considered a strong asset.
- Strong clinical knowledge of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across the lifespan.
- Excellent assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to building positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for evidence-based practice, collaborative care, and ongoing professional development.
