Ghost Transportation Services is seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Lead Hand to join our team at our main terminal in Saskatoon.
This is a working leadership position for an individual who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, leading by example, and helping ensure freight moves safely, accurately, and efficiently through our operation.
Responsibilities
· Lead and participate in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, cross-docking, storage, and freight handling.
· Coordinate freight flow, warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and space utilization to ensure efficient operations.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, Dangerous Goods regulations, and company procedures.
· Work closely with drivers, dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff to maintain service levels and resolve operational issues.
· Provide guidance, training, and support to warehouse personnel while identifying opportunities to improve processes and productivity.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing, transportation, logistics, or 3PL operations.
· Strong knowledge of receiving, shipping, cross-docking, inventory control, warehouse organization, and freight handling practices.
· Experience handling Dangerous Goods and maintaining regulatory compliance.
· Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience directing or mentoring warehouse personnel.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; forklift certification is considered an asset.
