Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to uphold our company's reputation for dependable service. Candidates with experience in forklift operation, freight handling, or commercial driving are preferred, but training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of products while following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Drug Test
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and documentation for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including operating heavy equipment or forklifts as required
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of freight and operation of heavy machinery when applicable
Skills
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in transportation
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle maintenance awareness
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize deliveries
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively in various environments
- Physical ability to lift, load, unload, and move freight weighing up to 50 pounds or more when necessary
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
