The core duties of the Shipper/Receiver is inventory control, recording inventory, and overseeing the loading and unloading of both inbound and outbound shipments.
Responsibilities
- Verify shipment quantities received, notifying the supervisor of any damage or discrepancies
- Ensure parts are quickly received and expedited to appropriate Parts Advisor
- Local pick-ups and deliveries
- Label parts with proper parts number prior to binning and place in storage
- Monitor part number changes and modify location if necessary
- Identify and process special order shipments and notify appropriate person or department
- Assist with housekeeping of pats department, stockroom maintenance and replenishment of stock parts
- Provide backup for Parts Advisor
- Other duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Must have the ability to lift/carry 25kg on their own
