HomeBridge Youth Society offers an interdisciplinary approach to youth care in six facilities around the metro area as well as Bridges for Learning, an accredited school program. Youth between the ages of 12 and 18 experience therapeutic interventions, support, and opportunities with a focus on evidence-based approaches to stabilization, education and life skills. Here's what you need to get an interview:

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Diploma in Child and Youth Care from a recognized program (NSCC, Jane Norman College in NS), or the equivalent of experience and training may be considered.

Experience working in the field of Child & Youth, specifically with children and youth with complex mental health and/or addictions issues. Past work with youth in a community based Youth-Caring setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:

Working understanding of current Youth Care Practices
-
Awesome inter-personal, communication and organizational skills
-
An ability to connect with young people who are resistant to developing relationships
-
Teamwork and a desire to have fun at work
-
Open and willing to work shift work, including overnights, weekends and holidays

Valid certification in First Aid/CPR, (ASIST) Suicide Intervention, NVCI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Mental Health First Aid are considered assets
What we can offer you:

$21.00 an hour to start

Shift premium rates are applied on nights and weekends ($2.25 per hour on nights and weekends)
