Company Description: FOREST HILL MEDICAL CLINIC is a community-focused family practice in the heart of North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley. Role Description: We are seeking a locum, part-time or full-time Family Physician to join our growing practice. Physicians may provide both in-person and/or virtual care and have flexibility to tailor their schedule and practice style. You may build your own panel, relocate an existing panel, or accept patients from the clinic waitlist, unattached patients in the community, or a retiring colleague. Each physician has access to two exam rooms during their shift, spacious office areas, collegial support, and opportunities to develop additional clinical skills. Free guidance is available for OSCAR EMR, billing, administration, IT, and virtual care. Locum-to-permanent opportunities are available.
Qualifications
- MD or equivalent with recognized postgraduate training in Family Medicine.
- Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) Licence – Full or Provisional.
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Mandatory.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership – Mandatory.
- IMGs and physicians with provisional licences are welcome to apply.
- Ability to provide comprehensive primary care, including acute and chronic disease management, preventive care, immunizations, prescribing, and referrals.
- Strong communication and shared decision-making skills with a commitment to culturally sensitive, patient-centred care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
- Comfortable using EMR and digital tools; the clinic uses OSCAR EMR.
- Commitment to ethical practice and high standards of clinical care.
Hours of Work: flexible
On-Call Hours: rotates between physicians at the clinic
Vacation Leave: To be discussed during interview
Compensation Type and Billing Split to be discussed during interview.
