Shipper / Receiver
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation
of all shipping / receiving equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, weight scales and pallet
trucks production while maintaining acceptable levels of production.
Principle Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Shipping of oversized part.
- Co ordination and arranging carriers for incoming and outgoing product
- Receive orders.
- Pick and pack orders to customer specifications.
- Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares all
documentation for shipment.
- Ability to oversee daily requirements under minimal supervision.
- General labour warehouse duties and inventory control
- Great customer / client service, communication
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to lift 50lbs if necessary.
- Performs general housekeeping 5-S and equipment cleaning duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge
CBB Manufactures complex bearings and associated components from typically difficult to
machine materials. Understanding and experience of manufacturing with such materials is a
significant asset.
- Must have recent prior experience with large/ overside shipments- not pallets
- 5 years proven previous experience as a shipper receiver in a fast paced environment
- Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills and keep attention to detail.
- Valid certificate for Forklift and overhead cranes an asset.
