Overview
We are seeking a skilled CCTV & Low Voltage Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security and low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, computer networking, and construction, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV systems, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate system installation.
- Perform wiring, cabling, and conduit work for low voltage systems in compliance with electrical codes.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install sensors, cameras, switches, and other related hardware.
- Conduct system testing to verify proper operation of security and communication systems.
- Diagnose technical issues on-site and perform repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate low voltage systems seamlessly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, service reports, and system configurations.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CCTV installation, low voltage wiring, or related fieldwork.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, computer networking, and telecommunication systems.
- Electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits safely.
- Mechanical knowledge for handling installation tasks involving sensors and mechanical components.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Familiarity with IDS systems, sensors, schematics, and power supplies is preferred.
- Construction experience is a plus for coordinating installations within building environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments while maintaining safety standards.
