Job Description
AGM provides a wide range of engineering services for municipal infrastructure and land development projects including design, project management and contract administration. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Civil Engineering Technologist. The successful candidate will work closely with all team members within AGM’s Engineering Division to ensure the successful completion of municipal infrastructure and land development projects that vary in size. Candidates should ideally possess 2 - 5 years of related experience in municipal engineering with a focus on construction supervision and contract administration with additional related experience in detailed design and contract preparation for roads, sewers and water-main projects.
Responsibilities
- Construction Supervision
- Preparation of Tender Documents and Construction Cost Estimates
- Assist with CAD drafting and design tasks
- Maintain a working knowledge of local and provincial standards and specifications
- Attend project meetings
Qualifications
- Candidates shall have a diploma in civil engineering technology from a recognized civil engineering program.
- Ideally 2-5 years related experience in construction supervision, design, contract preparation and tendering.
- Proficient in ACAD 2019, Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- Enthusiastic about working in the team environment
- OGRA Sewer and Watermain Construction Inspection Training would be an asset.
