Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator – Level 3 to inspire and nurture young minds in a vibrant learning environment. The successful candidate must hold a valid Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare, daycare, preschool, or early learning setting.

Duties
The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that support literacy, math, physical development, social-emotional learning, and creative exploration.
Facilitating classroom activities that promote social skills, positive behaviour, cooperation, independence, and respectful interactions among children.
Using observation and assessment techniques to monitor each child’s progress and adjust programming based on individual needs.
Collaborating with families, co-workers, specialists, and early intervention teams to support children’s learning, development, and behavioural goals.
Maintaining a safe, clean, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.
Applying strong classroom management and behaviour guidance strategies in a positive and respectful manner.
Following childcare licensing standards, child welfare protocols, centre policies, and best practices in early childhood education.
Supporting children with diverse needs and learning styles through inclusive programming and individualized support.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Valid Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, private school, or licensed childcare setting is required.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development, classroom routines, lesson planning, and age-appropriate programming.
Experience with classroom management and positive behaviour guidance strategies.
Strong communication skills for working with children, families, colleagues, and external support professionals.
Ability to create a warm, respectful, inclusive, and child-focused learning environment.
Experience supporting children with diverse needs or early intervention plans is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is considered an asset.
