Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in food preparation, a passion for quality cuisine, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As an Experienced Cook, you will play a key role in preparing delicious meals, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and helping to deliver an outstanding dining experience to every guest.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items consistently according to established recipes and quality standards
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, ovens, and prep tools
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and rotation in line with food safety regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work stations, the kitchen, and the storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to the kitchen manager
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when needed
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food handler's certification preferred
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
