In this warehouse role, you'll operate cranes, lift trucks and steel saws, fulfill orders accurately, handle materials safely, and contribute to the smooth flow of our warehouse operations. Reporting to Warehouse Management, you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate order processing in our safety conscious work environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate Forklift to move finished orders around the warehouse in a safe manner.
Operate overhead crane to load and unload machines in a safe manner.
Communicate any errors noted on orders to a supervisor.
Put material into stock pans, racks in an easy to access and safe manner.
Follow directions listed on the order to fulfill customer requirements.
Measure material to ensure that the bar filled is the bar that was ordered.
Work with other warehouse staff positions to meet warehouse needs or customer needs, directed by the Management.
Maintain cleanliness in your work area and the warehouse.
Participate in the Company’s Quality and Health & Safety Programs.
Perform any other jobs as requested by Management. Training provided.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, specific skills, licenses, certifications):
The Warehouse Worker shall be trained and certified to operate forklifts, side loaders, overhead cranes and packaging equipment. Attention to detail with numbers and measuring tools is necessary, and ability of how to read a tape measure is a must. Good computer skills and good verbal communication are required.
