Job Purpose
The Production Supervisor facilitates the manufacturing of window products by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work-flow.
Duties and Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Fabrication Supervisor, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Supervise and coordinate the activities of roughly 20 employees.
· Interpret specifications and job orders to department employees and assigns duties.
· Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
· Analyze work orders in coordination with Plant Supervisor, to determine production schedules.
· Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop.
· Analyze and solve work related problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
· Initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve department goals.
· Maintain time and production records.
· Confer with other Supervisors, as required, to coordinate activities.
· Provide orientation and training to new employees.
· Comply with requirements as outlined in the company handbook and the OHSA.
· Practice good housekeeping.
· Ensure acceptable attendance levels are maintained
· Assist other supervisors as required.
· Ordering aluminum sheets and insulation supplies
· Able to step in and assist the department when necessary.
· Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
· Accountable for meeting production requirements while also ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees on the shift.
· Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
