Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Givex POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling duties such as portioning, packaging, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients
- Support upselling efforts by recommending menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counting
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced situations
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus; willingness to learn new skills is essential
