JcoM Communications Inc. is a locally owned low-voltage contractor specializing in structured cabling, fibre optics, wireless networks, CCTV, VOIP, and network infrastructure. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality installations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
We are currently looking for a motivated Junior Low Voltage Technician to join our growing Ottawa team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the telecommunications and low-voltage industry.
Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A network cabling.
- Assist with fibre optic installations and cable routing.
- Install cable tray, J-hooks, conduit, and support systems.
- Label, test, and certify network cabling.
- Assist with wireless access point, CCTV, and telecommunications installations.
- Read and follow project drawings and installation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Represent JcoM Communications Inc. professionally while working on customer sites.
Requirements
- Previous experience in structured cabling or construction is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working on ladders and in ceiling spaces.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Must have your own reliable vehicle.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
Required Health & Safety Certifications

- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps
