Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure production efficiency, maintain safety standards, and lead a team of production workers. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring quality output and continuous improvement across all production activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals and deadlines
- Lead, motivate, and train production staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for increased efficiency
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with CFIA and company safety policies
- Maintain accurate production records, report on performance metrics, and prepare operational reports
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment
- Assist in inventory management by overseeing warehouse organization and material handling
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow and suggesting process enhancements
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with food manufacturing experience
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to food safety
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
