Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Depot supervisor to oversee daily operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and sanitation standards. This role is vital in ensuring efficient warehouse management, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors. The Depot Manager will play a key role in coordinating logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Duties
- Main job duties:
- Supervise, co-ordinate, and schedule activities of staff.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve buying and sorting recycling products.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities.
- Requisition materials and supplies.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Prepare production and other reports.
- Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company polices.
- May set up machines and equipment
Supervise daily depot operations, including loading and unloading activities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and forklifts to facilitate material handling
- Oversee the safe operation of all heavy machinery and ensure adherence to safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the depot area, including routine
.Graduation or equivalent degree
.Several years experience in related Fields.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or warehouse management with hands-on heavy equipment operation skills
- Proficiency in loader operation, excavator handling, forklift operation, and other heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and cleaning procedures within industrial environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Leadership qualities with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to safety protocols
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and operating machinery
- Prior experience in sanitation or cleaning within industrial or manufacturing settings is preferred
