This individual will serve as both the leader of the finance function and a trusted advisor to the CEO. They will bring financial discipline, executive presence, forward-looking insight, and the confidence to provide recommendations that improve decision-making across the organization.
This individual will not simply manage the finance department. They will help mature the leadership team by bringing clarity, accountability, and professional financial discipline to a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
This role has the potential to evolve into a CFO position as the company grows.
What Success Looks Like (12 Months)
Within the first year, this person will have:
· Established themselves as a respected member of the leadership team and a trusted partner to the CEO.
· Built productive, proactive one-on-one communication with the CEO.
· Established clear operating rhythms and decision-making boundaries with the CEO.
· Developed a suite of meaningful financial reports and dashboards that provide visibility into the business.
· Implemented reliable cash flow forecasting and financial modeling processes.
· Eliminated surprises by identifying issues and opportunities early.
· Successfully led and developed the finance team.
· Strengthened month-end close, audit readiness, and financial controls.
· Improved confidence in the accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness of financial information.
· Identified opportunities to improve profitability, reduce risk, and support growth initiatives.
· Created an environment where financial decisions are made through disciplined discussion rather than reaction.
· Begun providing financial guidance and support to the related family office activities, where appropriate.

Critical Responsibilities
Leadership

· Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts.
· Support budgeting and annual planning.
· Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis.

· Lead and develop the finance team.

Experience
· Experience leading a finance function within a growing entrepreneurial business.
· Proven success managing and developing a team.
· Strong financial reporting and forecasting capability.
· Experience supporting owner-led organizations.
· CPA designation preferred.
· Experience in service-based businesses is an asset.

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
