About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Technology Sourcing Specialist to support a global procurement team in delivering strategic sourcing initiatives across technology categories. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with expertise in software, cloud, SaaS, and application contract negotiations who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, and drive commercial value across technology procurement projects.
Project Details
- Short-term contract with the possibility of extension through December (extension not guaranteed)
- Retention bonus equivalent to 2 weeks' pay upon successful completion of the contract
- Hybrid work model (3 days/week in the Montreal office)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives for technology-related categories.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify value creation opportunities.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Negotiate commercial agreements for software, SaaS, cloud services, applications, and IT vendors.
- Manage RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver sourcing solutions.
- Support supplier relationship management, contract execution, implementation, and performance reviews.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement governance and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management.
- Strong experience negotiating Software, SaaS, Cloud, IT Services, or Application contracts.
- Proven commercial negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
- Experience developing and implementing sourcing/category strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Bilingual in English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a large enterprise or global procurement environment.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and contract lifecycle management.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
