Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions efficiently, and promoting a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Multilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product demos and explain features to customers when needed
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is organized
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as required
- Support team members in achieving sales goals and delivering excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (e.g., English plus additional languages) are a plus
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, or technical sales is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
