RONA Lumby is expanding, and we’re looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals to join our warehousing/yard team. If you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with customers, and are physically fit, this is the job for you!
Position: Yard Person / Forklift Driver / Floater
Schedule: Part-time with the potential for full-time opportunities in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and strapping trucks with building materials, including lumber and other supplies.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the yard and warehouse.
- Organizing and managing yard inventory with regular audits.
- Operating a forklift to move pallets and products around the yard and assist in loading customer vehicles.
- Assisting with customer loading and unloading needs.
- Performing occasional product deliveries within the local area.
- Loading and unloading lumber and other materials.
- Providing support in other departments as needed.
- Driving a 1-ton truck with a manual transmission for deliveries (valid driver’s license required).
Qualifications:
- Friendly and approachable attitude with a customer-first mentality.
- Physically fit and capable of performing general labor tasks.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles and a valid driver’s license.
- Forklift experience is an asset, though not required (we will provide training).
- Experience with building materials and lumber is an asset.
