Currently we are hiring an applicant with minimum of atleast 2 years of experience In flatbed/stepdeck (open deck) dispatch.
EDMSTARS TRUCKING LTD. has a new and well maintained fleet to serve our clients and convenience for our employees.
We are currently in need of a Full Time Freight coordinator/dispatcher.
Note: Candidate with excellent knowledge of trucking industry in open deck division and should posses skills in booking load and handling multiple calls will be given preference. Minimal training will be provided. Serious enquiries with only flatbed dispatch experience will be contacted.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Must be familiar with different load boards and should possess excellent skills in handling calls as well as negotiating with customers.
- Should posses extensive knowledge about market spot rates for inbound and outbound load and should be quick learner and ready to work as a team.
- Knowledge of ACE/ACI Customs/ Border Crossing/handling bonded shipment.
- Schedule drivers routes to ensure optimal utilisation of manpower and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain driver safety records.
- Manage daily activity of the fleet.
- Prepare reports on trucking performance and productivity.
- Maintain working knowledge of products hauled, regulations and operating authorities.
- Ensure driver's compliance with HOS and Safety regulations when dispatching.
- Must be well organized and able to multi-task ·
- Analytical and problem-solving skills ·
- Microsoft Office and computer efficiency
- Preferred any transportation experience and knowledge of multiple modes of transportation including full truckload, LTL, expedited, specialized and over dimensional equipment and services.
- Candidate should be skilled in using Avaal software, border connect, AEM, loadlink, DAT, Truckstop.
