To assure the proper washing and drying of laundry to keep Staybridge Kincardine's high standards of quality.
1. Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
2. Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
3. Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
4. Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
5. Assist in inventory count on a monthly basis, as requested.
6. Clean guest rooms when needed.
7. Clean and remove garbage from public area.
8. Achieve a controlled and organized environment for the efficient collection/delivery of linen/terry and cleaning materials in line with property policy.
9. Count and stack clean linen/terry ensuring accurate maintenance of inventory as required by company policy.
10. Assist in other areas of the Housekeeping Department as requested by the Manager and/or Housekeeping Supervisors on duty ensuring to follow all Staybridge brand standards.
11. To be aware of correct procedures to follow when handling soiled linen/terry in accordance with health and safety requirements.
12. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
13. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen. Ability to prioritize and organize work. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs. Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.

10. To contribute to energy conservation and ensure safe usage/storage of all materials/equipment/chemicals as per manufacturers’ instructions.
11. To attend meetings as requested and to recognize the importance of contributing new ideas and initiative to the overall success of the operation.
12. To assist with cleaning duties in order to maintain a clean and well-organized work area in line with property policy.
13. To adhere to the Property Crisis Communication Plan to ensure that inquiries from the media are responded to by the nominated spokesperson in line with company policy.
14. To contribute to the security of the building, company assets and guest/co-worker safety with full adherence to security procedures with proper handling of keys/cash as appropriate to the position following procedures laid down by company policy.
