Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our team for breakfast and lunch service. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest experiences by delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service in a fast-paced food industry environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within our establishment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in periodically and responding promptly to requests
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and service stations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems like square POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and basic math for accurate billing and change calculation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
