Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and serving
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently with proper cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- Assist in restocking supplies and organizing the workspace for smooth daily operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
