We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team in Canada. Based in Kelowna, this role is vital to ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting Cascades' commitment to sustainability and innovation. This position is a full time Monday - Friday with shift start times ranging from 6:00 - 9:00am.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trips / blowdowns on equipment prior to operating
- Load and unload outbound trucks
- Remove bales from baler and stack in yard
- Remove glass bags from dock area – and stack in yard
- Help sort Recovery Plus loads and PSB Bales
- Tip glass bags when needed
- Complete necessary paperwork related to shipping/ receiving / production etc.
- Maintain a clean work area and enforce safety expectations/ violations
- Help in other areas when required
Your baggage and your strengths:
- Able to keep calm in a highly intense environment
- Excellent attendance record
- Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- High standard of safety as the position requires the employee to work on busy docks and in yard around 3rd party equipment
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year equipment operation experience in a manufacturing or related industry
- Fork lift certification would be an asset
- Loader experience would be an asset
