Role Summary:
The Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials and packaging supplies required for the production of chocolate spreads. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and optimal inventory levels aligned with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability while avoiding excess stock
- Create and manage purchase orders based on production forecasts and demand
- Review order acknowledgements to confirm pricing, quantities, and delivery dates
- Track and follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival of goods
- Escalate supply shortages and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams
- Coordinate with logistics providers for timely pickup and transportation of goods
- Handle quality claims and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and work with Finance to ensure accurate billing
- Participate in periodic inventory reviews with Production and Warehouse teams
- Track and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and renewal timelines
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in the food industry
- Strong understanding of inventory management, supplier negotiation, and logistics coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English; Spanish or French is considered an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
