Job Description: We are looking for a hardworking, versatile line cook to join our kitchen team. This role focuses primarily on daily line cooking in a food truck environment, with occasional support for catering as needed. We value reliability, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Execute hot-line cooking during food truck service with speed and consistency
- Complete daily prep tasks including sauces, portioning, and mise en place
- Work efficiently in the compact, fast-paced food truck kitchen
- Rotate between stations and duties as needed during service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Communicate clearly with team members during peak hours
- Support catering operations minimally (prep, packing, or labeling as required)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional line cook experience
- Food truck cooking experience is a strong asset
- Professional pasta cooking experience is an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a small, close-contact team
- Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to Vancouver, BC before starting (required)
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for 8+ hours per shift
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lbs) (e.g., ingredients, oil jugs, supplies)
- Able to work in a compact, confined space with limited mobility
- Comfortable working in high heat (summer food truck conditions)
- Able to bend, reach, and twist frequently during service
- Manual dexterity for fast, precise cooking and plating
