The Role
Seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our team in Vaughan. In this role you will handle complex accounting cycles, financial analysis, and tax preparation for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with Senior Accountants to deliver high quality financial insights and ensure regulatory compliance for our clients.
What You Will Do
- Financial Statement Preparation
- Taxation - prepare personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive year-end working paper files following firm standards.
- Complex reconciliations.
- Performance analysis - conduct variance analysis and provide clients with insights to financial performance and cash flow.
- Audit support - assist in audit procedures and respond to government queries or audits (CRA).
- Working at client offices as required.
What You Bring
- CPA Designation (or in progress) not required but preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience or similar.
- Proficient in financial accounting software, QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Quickbooks desktop.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience in Caseware is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
