Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hands-on troubleshooting
- Repair or replace damaged components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial machinery as needed
- Perform electrical repairs and system diagnostics on trailers and associated systems
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of trailer components during repairs or upgrades
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Skills
- Proven experience with dealership service or heavy equipment repair preferred
- Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, and schematics
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and industrial machinery
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques and maintenance procedures
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment proficiently
- Heavy lifting capability and physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Knowledge of assembly processes related to trailer manufacturing or repair
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals for troubleshooting purposes
