Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator specializing in High Reach operations to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for efficiently managing inventory, order picking, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various warehouse equipment and possess strong mechanical knowledge to support safe and effective operations.
Duties
- Safely operate high reach forklifts, and order pickers within the warehouse environment.
- Perform order picking and inventory management using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts and related equipment.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing and storing products accurately.
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying orders.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill daily operational goals efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating high reach forklifts, and order pickers in a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for order processing and inventory control.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, including order picking procedures.
- Prior experience with warehouse equipment such as clamp trucks and order pickers is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification/license is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to safety standards and detail-oriented tasks.
