Job Overview:
- The Asset Information Management (AIM) Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the integrity, accuracy, and continuous improvement of engineering and asset data within Asset Information Management repositories. This role provides analytical and technical support to ensure asset information is reliable, complete, and aligned with established standards and procedures.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the quality of engineering data, validating project turnover documentation, resolving data discrepancies, and supporting process improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of asset information management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply established policies, procedures, and best practices to support asset data improvement initiatives within AIM repositories.

Update, maintain, and validate asset records, location hierarchies, and asset attributes within Maximo and related systems.

Ensure asset information is accurate, complete, and aligned with corporate data standards and governance requirements.

Perform data quality reviews and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and consistency.

Review, process, and close Service Requests (SRs) in a timely manner.

Validate project turnover documentation, including:

Engineering drawings
-
Asset lists
-
Equipment tagging information
-
Verify the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of submitted documentation before implementation.

Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and discrepancies across asset information repositories.

Collaborate with Engineering Records, Drawing Management, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to investigate and resolve data issues.

Support data cleansing initiatives, backlog reduction efforts, and bulk data correction activities.

Prioritize work activities to ensure critical asset information updates are completed efficiently.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing asset data quality and workflow efficiency.

Support the development and implementation of automation solutions using tools such as Power Apps, Excel, and scripting technologies.

Assist with field validation activities and verification of asset information when required.

Recommend improvements to service request processes and data management practices.

Collect, organize, analyze, and communicate asset and engineering data effectively to stakeholders.

Provide accurate reporting, observations, and recommendations to project leads, engineers, and business partners.

Build effective working relationships across multiple departments to facilitate information sharing and issue resolution.

Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:
Required:
- University degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Management, or a related technical discipline.

Exposure to oil and gas operations, industrial facilities, asset management, or related technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings to extract relevant asset information.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and document management systems.
-
Strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as IBM Maximo or similar platforms.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including:
-
Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
-
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
-
Electrical and Instrumentation Drawings
-
General Arrangement and Equipment Drawings
-
Experience with data quality management, asset information governance, or engineering data management.

Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, scripting, or other automation tools used for process improvement.
