Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety focused Electrical Journeyman to join our growing operations in the Grande Prairie Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across upstream oilfield facilities, compressor stations, production sites as well as the municipal industry.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot motors, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on oilfield equipment
- Ensure all work complies with Alberta electrical codes and site safety standards
- Support shutdowns, commissioning, and startup activities
- Work safely in hazardous locations and remote field environments
- Complete field documentation, safety reports, and maintenance logs
- Coordinate with operations, instrumentation, and maintenance team
Responsibilities
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years industrial or oil & gas electrical experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Strong understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSTS/CSO certifications considered an asset
Preferred Skills
- Gas plant or compressor station experience
- Municipal Water Treatment Plant / Waste Water / Lift Station experience
- Instrumentation experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay: $38.00-$60.00 per hour
