Job Overview
We are seeking a and motivated individual to to join our team as our in-house Conveyancer/Paralegal/Legal Assistant. In this multi-faceted role, you will be tasked with regular legal assistant duties, including but not limited to, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, opening and closing files, organizing files, documents, liaising with counsel, etc., while also performing the role of conveyancer which manages the legal aspects of (mostly) residential and (some) commercial real estate transactions, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant laws.
The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service and organizational skills, have a keen eye for detail enabling them to provide exceptional support to clients throughout the conveyancing process, and be proficient with online services and certain software programs dedicated to conveyancing.

Duties
- Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions, including purchase and sale contracts, transfer of land and mortgage documentation.
- Conduct thorough analysis of property titles and related documents to identify any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized filing systems for all client files and documentation, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
- Provide administrative support by managing schedules, appointments, and correspondence related to all legal matters.
- Draft basic legal correspondence and reports with clarity and precision.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing property transactions.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal documents and identify potential issues.
- Prior conveyancing experience is necessary.
- Prior administrative experience in a legal or real estate environment is strongly preferred.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
- Familiarity with legal drafting practices specific to property transactions.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with FCT, LDD, UNITY PRACTICE MANAGEMENT, ESILAW, SPINII, MICROSOFT OFFICE, etc.
About our Firm
- We are a relatively new firm (Est. Nov 2025) with only one lawyer (the founder) practicing in the areas of criminal and real estate law.
- Ideally, we are looking to hire one full time paralegal conveyancer who can help manage our real estate practice, while also performing general legal assistant work. We hope to hire someone who can bring their expertise and experience to not only help manage our real estate practice, but also help to grow our firm.
- While the position we are looking for is an in-house position, work from home options are available provided it does not interfere with operational needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Pay: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
