We are looking for a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to join our growing agricultural operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly the same.
As our Shipping Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time while helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workplace. What You Will Do
- Supervise daily shipping activities to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipment accuracy by counting panel markers inside tunnels after each shipment and ensuring sufficient inventory is available to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain shipping documentation and quality control records.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of production materials.
- Coordinate, train, and support farm employees to ensure safe work practices and proper equipment operation.
- Oversee tunnel maintenance, including cleanliness, fan operation, and net maintenance.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance and servicing of equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.
- Promote and enforce workplace health and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating or maintaining a farming or agricultural operation.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Work Conditions
This is an active, hands-on position in an agricultural setting. The role involves operating equipment, handling product materials, and working throughout the facility. Overtime may be required during busy periods.
